MT5 does more out of the box. Choose MT4 only if you depend on an Expert Advisor or indicator that exists in MQL4 alone.
Trading platforms, broker by broker
Ten brokers, one question per column: which terminal you get, what it costs to start, and who the licence actually belongs to. Every figure was checked on 12.10.2026 and each licence read in the regulator's own register.

The table
Payout is the share of a winning fixed-time contract the broker pays back. Licences are a separate question and are set out on our register site, not squeezed into this table.
Platform vs platform
A web terminal is enough to place and manage trades from any computer. Automation and custom tools need the installed application.
Most traders analyse on a desktop and keep the phone app for watching open positions and closing them.

How this was checked
- 01Read the broker's own platform pageEvery platform in the table is one the broker lists as available now. A terminal it used to offer does not count.
- 02Install and log inMetaTrader and each web terminal were installed on Windows, Android and iOS and connected to the broker's live server.
- 03Record the five factsMinimum deposit, minimum trade, maximum payout, regulator with its number, and the date the figures were checked. Nothing else goes in the table.
- 04Look the licence up in the registerEach number is checked in the regulator's own public register. A licence we cannot find there is published as “none found”, whatever the broker's site says.
